At alarming rates, Black girls, and other girls of color, experience discriminatory, disparate, punitive, and unfair treatment in schools. Black girls are suspended, expelled, referred to law enforcement, and arrested on school campuses at rates that far exceed the public school population as a whole, and far exceed their white female peers. The documentary, “Pushout” illustrates how this paves the way toward trafficking and other forms of violence.  Please join us for a free screening of the film, to be followed by a Q&A session. Local law enforcement officers will present facts about trafficking statistics in our area, as well as regional efforts to arrest traffickers and serve trafficking survivors.

Our speakers will include:

Deputy Police Chief, Jim Ballauer, City of Clinton

Corporal Josh Winter, City of Clinton Police Detective

Ellie Lindmark, Braking Traffik Survivor Advocate
