Fairfax County, VA, is a suburb of Washington, D.C., and one of the wealthiest communities in the U.S. It also has approximately 1,200 people experiencing homelessness. Although only 10 percent of the residents of Fairfax County identify as Black, over 50 percent of people living unsheltered within their community identify as Black.
