Episode 8: Gardening and Nonviolence

This week on The “Center," host Marsha Thrall is joined by Carmelite Sister JonFe de Torres as well as Sisters Theresa Judge and Joan Theiss of the Sisters of St. Francis, Clinton, Iowa. Today’s conversation focuses on the experiences and expertise that these three women have in growing gardens both for food and as creative expression. The topic of gardening as an act of nonviolence is explored, including insight into how growing one’s own food is a radical act of self-care.
